The Air Jordan 5 ¡°Shanghai Shen¡± is a rare China-exclusive colorway of Michael Jordan¡¯s iconic fifth signature shoe that was released in 2013. Unquestionably one of the most sought after non-original Air Jordan 5s ever, the ¡°Shanghai Shen¡± is inspired by the color coordination of the ¡°Black Laney¡± Jordan 5. Moreover, the ¡°Shanghai¡± falls in line with other rare overseas exclusive Jordan 5s like the ¡°Quai 54¡± and ¡°Tokyo23.¡± As mentioned, the style borrows from the color block of the ¡°Black Laney¡± as the upper of the ¡°Shanghai¡± is composed of a black synthetic nubuck material. A yellow Shanghai medallion appears on the lateral side of the heel and a Varsity Royal embroidered Jumpman resides on the back of the shoe. A yellow lace toggle with a blue Jumpman rests below the blue Jumpman embroidery on the black nylon tongue. Per the original styling of the Jordan 5, the ¡°Shanghai¡± features translucent netting on the lower tongue and mid-panel.
