The Nike Air Max 1 "University Blue" is a colorway of the retro running shoe with a decidedly North Carolina Tar Heels-esque look. While not associated with the University of North Carolina in any way, the ¡°University Bluea€?Air Max 1 nonetheless celebrates the school by featuring the primary color of its athletic team¡¯s uniforms on its design. The shoe has a white mesh base with grey suede overlays. A University Blue Swoosh on either side matches the color of the mudguard and ¡°Nike Aira€?branding on the heel. Classic ¡°Nike Air Maxa€?detailing appears on the tongue tag. Underfoot, a visible Air bubble in the heel of the white foam midsole completes the look.
