The Nike Air Max 1 '86 "Jackie Robinson" is a special colorway of the retro performance running shoe inspired by the Baseball Hall of Famer and his lasting impact in sports and civil rights. Jackie Robinson broke baseball¡¯s color barrier in 1947 when he played his first game for the Brooklyn Dodgers, and subsequently had a decorated career with the team thereafter. As for this colorway, the upper features a perforated navy suede base contrasted with tonal suede overlay. A navy suede Swoosh appears on the sides, while Metallic Gold eyelets give the shoe a premium look. Details inspired by Robinson¡¯s baseball career include a Metallic Gold aa??2aa??(for his jersey number with the Dodgers) emblem on the vamp, and aa??2aa??branding on the tongue tag in the shape of a baseball diamond.
