The Nike Air Force 1 Low "Chicago" is a colorway of the retro basketball shoe from the ¡°Chicagoa€?pack that is inspired by the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. Following the massive fire that spread throughout the Windy City, residents worked together to repair the city¡¯s architecture by replacing burned wooden structures with steel, concrete, and glass, and the ¡°Chicagoa€?pack tributes those efforts. The Air Force 1 Low ¡°Chicagoa€?features a color scheme inspired by Chicago¡¯s architecture from its pre-fire days. The leather upper is designed in a combination of hues, beginning with Summit White leather on the base and Coconut Milk-colored suede on the toe, forefoot, and eyelets. A Gym Red Swoosh appears on the lateral side of the shoe while a cow-inspired Swoosh is seen on the medial side, an homage to the folklore about Mrs. O¡¯Leary¡¯s cow accidentally knocking over a lantern to start the fire.
